Light Design Co. is a South East Queensland interior design studio born from a love of creating spaces that balance beauty and function. Between us we bring over 20 years of residential design experience, a fresh perspective shaped by very different backgrounds, and a deep care for getting the details right.
For us, design is so much more than decoration. It's about shaping environments that lift your spirits and bring people together. We pour our attention into the things that make a space feel whole: fine details, rich textures, and colours that work in harmony to create rooms that feel personal, warm, and inviting.

FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
After many years in law, I made the bold decision to follow my true calling, interior design. Now a qualified interior designer with over 7.5 years in the industry, I've spent that time creating homes that people genuinely love to live in. Light Design Co. is the result of that leap: a studio built on the belief that a beautifully designed home is one of life's quiet luxuries, and one everyone deserves to experience.
To me, design is so much more than how a room looks. It's about creating spaces that feel deeply personal and wonderfully easy to live in, where every choice has a reason and a warmth behind it. The places we call home shape how we feel, how we rest, and how we connect with the people we love. I believe everyone deserves that little exhale of peace and belonging the moment they walk through their front door.
Over my years in the industry, I've learned that the magic is in the details, the way texture, colour, layout and lighting come together to tell one cohesive, considered story. There's nothing I love more than getting to know how you want to live, then shaping a home around it.
When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me down at the beach soaking up the salt air, or seeking out a unique dining experience somewhere new. I'm endlessly inspired by the textures, colours and little moments of beauty that everyday life has to offer.

DESIGN DRAFTER
I've spent over 15 years in the building industry, and I still light up at the idea of turning a blank page into a home someone will love. Across my years in drafting and design, I've built a reputation for blending creative thinking with a genuine care for the craft. I love reimagining how things are done, taking tangled, messy processes and turning them into something cleaner and smarter, and bringing a designer's eye and a warm, human touch to every part of the build. I'm the person who quietly makes everything run smoother, and I get a real kick out of finding the thoughtful solution everyone else missed. I run on equal parts creative instinct and heart.
I have a deep passion for great architecture and design, the kind of thoughtful work where form and function come together and a space just feels right. I tend to look at how a home comes together and immediately see where it could feel better for the people who'll live in it, then I make it happen. For me, it's a lovely mix of design skill, hard-won industry wisdom, and a real love of building things that matter.
When I'm not at work, you'll find me out in nature or experimenting with something tasty in the kitchen. I love a good challenge and the simple satisfaction of building things that truly work, whether that's a home or a smarter, kinder way of doing things.
Great design should feel effortless, and that's exactly what I set out to create.

CHIEF CHAOS DIRECTORS
Meet Ollie & Finn, the ultimate Border Collie duo and our official Chief Chaos Directors. Masters of zoomies and inspectors of every corner twice (sometimes three times, occasionally a sneaky fourth just to be thorough). Nothing, not a throw pillow, not a stray sock, not a suspiciously placed coaster, escapes their highly trained noses and judgmental little eyebrows.
Their special skills are many and questionably useful. They herd humans toward the perfect furniture layout whether the humans agree or not, sniff-test every rug, cushion, and snack with forensic precision, and add a little mischief to every project, purely for quality control, of course. All of it is supervised closely, mostly from a horizontal position.
When it comes to fun, walks (especially on the beach) and playtime are strictly non-negotiable, energy MUST be expended. These two also love love, belly rubs, cuddles, and bum rubs included. Naps are sacred, snacks are essential, and the vacuum cleaner remains a known nemesis they're keeping a very close eye on. They have never once been wrong about who's at the door, though they have been wrong about it being a threat. Every single time.
